AirAdvisor has compiled a ranking of the 10 most extravagant individual experiences offered by leading international airlines in 2026, selecting only those services that can be verified in official sources.
Evaluation criteria and exclusions
The study used five weighted criteria: extravagance — 35%, rarity — 25%, confidentiality and exclusivity — 20%, difficulty of access — 10%, and “experience out of place” — 10%.

The ranking does not include private aviation, discontinued services, concepts not yet available to the public, or standard options such as classic lounge access or conventional reclining seats.
Comments from organisers and examples
“Premium air travel has turned into an arms race,” said Anton Radchenko, founder and chief executive officer of AirAdvisor. According to him, a reclining seat is no longer enough; airlines are competing with bedrooms, shower cabins and separate lounge zones.

The same piece also cites comments from other industry players: Ryanair chief executive Michael O’Leary said at a press conference in Brussels, “Next year in Europe, air fares will rise, in my view, by 10, 15, or maybe even 20%. I would say that over the next 12 months Europe will see the biggest increase in air ticket prices in history.”
