On 24 October the «Firework» exhibition opens at Lviv’s Zenyk Art Gallery, a large-scale project about Ukrainian Baroque and the power of patronage. All works in the exhibition are insured by Uniqa Ukraine.

The exhibition centres on the figure of Hetman Kyrylo Rozumovsky and the theme of Baturyn: the hetman’s capital, destroyed by Russian troops in 1708 and revived by subsequent generations. The exhibition promises to display items connected to these historical events.
The exhibition is drawn from the collections of the following institutions and holdings:
- National Historical and Cultural Reserve «Hetmanska Stolytsia»
- National Architectural and Historical Reserve «Ancient Chernihiv»
- Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery
- Museum of Ethnography and Arts and Crafts
- and also from private collections

The company noted that art insurance has long been a specialism for them: in Austria specialists look after exhibitions, private and state collections and museum holdings. Previously, works by Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Aivazovsky, Maria Pryimachenko and other artists were under their protection.
“We are transferring this expertise to the Ukrainian market,” the company said.
“For us this direction is a way to preserve cultural heritage, which is particularly vulnerable today, and at the same time to continue the European tradition of our Group.” — the company said.
