monobank launched a free electronic seal for software registrars of settlement operations (PRRO)

monobank has launched a free electronic seal for software registrars of settlement operations (PRRO); individual entrepreneurs (FOP) can obtain it in the app without visiting external electronic trust service providers in about 2 minutes.

One cash register — one seal

The seal is tied to the entrepreneur, not to a specific cashier, so multiple cashiers can use the same seal at a single cash register. This reduces the need to create separate electronic signatures for each employee.

If an employee leaves or a new one joins, reissuing the seal is not required. A separate seal can be created for each cash register if needed.

How to get an electronic seal

The service is available to sole proprietors who have a business account with the bank. To issue the seal, open the “Profile” section in the app, choose “monoKEP” and tap “Electronic seal”, create a password and sign the application.

  • open an FOP account in the app and go to “Profile”;
  • choose “monoKEP” and tap “Electronic seal”
  • create a password for the seal and sign the application.

Issuing the seal takes about 2 minutes; it is valid for two years and is compatible with any PRRO. To start using it, you need to register the certificate with the State Tax Service (DPS) and upload the key into the cash register software. A detailed instruction can be found in the mono knowledge base.

Cost and validity period

Obtaining an electronic seal through a third‑party provider typically requires identification, payment for the certificate and configuration in the cash register, which can cost up to 720 UAH per year. The new option lets you issue the seal without additional paid services directly in the app.

In 8 years the service became second by number of payment cards among banking apps and surpassed 11 million users; the app is used by one in three Ukrainians.
