Health Screening 40+: Use the funds within two months

How it looks from the perspective of someone who received the funds

You notice a small state support payment on your card and aren’t quite sure what to do with it. For many it seems like just another payment, but there is an important deadline that makes the situation urgent.

If you have already applied to take part in the programme and the funds have been credited, don’t put it off. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MOH) reminds people of this in its post writes.

  • Check the date the funds were credited to your card.
  • Choose the medical facility where you will have the screening.
  • Book the examination and attend it.

How the Health Screening 40+ programme works and the time limit for using the funds

Health Screening 40+ is a national programme for people aged 40 and over. It helps assess the risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, and also screens for mental health status. Under the programme, the examination can be completed in a single visit.

Screening is currently available at 2 757 service locations across the country, and since the start of the year it has already been completed by more than 750,000 Ukrainians. Check the date the funds were credited, choose a medical facility and book a screening as the MOH advises.

The funds must be used within two months of being credited to the card. Otherwise they will automatically return to the budget.

Does this apply to you and what steps to take

This applies to people aged 40 and over who have applied to take part in the programme. If you received a notification or saw a credit on your card, it means the state expects you to undergo the examination. If the money has not yet appeared on your account, you should keep waiting and regularly check for the credit information.

What exactly to do. First — look at the date the funds were credited to your card. Second — choose a convenient facility from the 2 757 service locations and book an appointment. Third — complete the screening in a single visit and use the funds to take care of your health.
