Application approved but funds haven’t arrived — what to check

If your application has been approved but the funds have not arrived, based on material from Starfin first check whether the contract has been signed and whether the lender has sent the transfer. A notification of a positive decision does not guarantee automatic crediting of the money.

Check the contract has been signed and the application finalised

Log in to your personal account via the lender’s official website and check the application status. Make sure there is no request for additional action and that signing the documents is complete — opening the contract and closing the page is not enough to sign it.

The article about an urgent loan to a card describes the sequence: after a positive decision the client reviews the documents and signs the contract with a one‑time identifier. If there is no confirmation of signing, check with customer support whether that action has been completed.

Confirm with the lender whether the payment was sent

After signing the contract, ask the lender to provide the specific payment operation details — the phrase “application approved” is not enough to locate a transaction. Ask when the next update is expected and whether the transfer has already been sent.

If the transfer has not yet been sent, the lender must explain what is required to complete the disbursement. If the operation has been executed, request confirmation with the date, amount and transfer identifier.

Check with the recipient bank

Review the full transaction history for the account, not just SMS or push notifications, and make sure you opened the exact card you specified when applying. If the card was recently reissued, inform the lender, since saved details may not have been updated.

Give the bank the date, amount and any available transfer identifier if the lender reported the payment as sent. Ask whether the bank sees the operation and whether there are any restrictions on receiving such a payment.

Steps to take when the bank and lender give conflicting answers

If the lender claims the transfer was made but the bank does not see the receipt, save the correspondence, the payment confirmation and the statement for the period. Send the lender a written request asking them to check the discrepancy and report the result.

If disbursements are displayed in the online account, separately ask for an explanation of the disbursement date and the basis of the calculation. If contacting the institutions does not help and there are grounds to believe your rights have been violated, you can contact the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) — the regulator describes this sequence in its guidance.

To clarify a delay you need three confirmations: the contract has been signed, the transfer was sent and the receipt has been verified by the bank. These steps will help move from a general “please wait” to specific actions.
