Who sold and in what volumes

Private Joint-Stock Company (ПрАТ) «Нафтогазвидобування», Limited Liability Company (ТОВ) «Нафтогаздія», Limited Liability Company (ТОВ) «Нафтогазгеорозвідка» and Limited Liability Company (ТОВ) «Косул» all belong to the ДТЕК group. The largest volume was sold by Private Joint-Stock Company (ПрАТ) «Нафтогазвидобування» — 7.778 million cubic metres, followed by 2.479 million cubic metres, 1.341 million cubic metres and 1.157 million cubic metres respectively.

The total sold volume amounted to about 12.75 million cubic metres, and the total value of the resource sold reached approximately €9.36 million.

Sale price and market comparison

Prices at the auction were in the range €69–€69.03 per megawatt-hour (MWh) excluding value-added tax (VAT). Resources were initially offered at €87 per megawatt-hour (MWh) excluding VAT, after which the final price fell by about 21%.

The export price corresponds to about 37,000 hryvnia per 1,000 cubic metres excluding VAT, while the domestic price was approximately 19,600 hryvnia per 1,000 cubic metres excluding VAT — meaning the export price was 89% higher. The sale was also 19% cheaper than the last recorded price at the Dutch TTF hub (€85.5 per megawatt-hour (MWh)).

Delivery terms and export regulation

Delivery is planned at the border with Poland in the period from 26 October to 31 December 2026. The auction terms require full prepayment, and actual delivery depends on the sellers obtaining the relevant export licences.

On 7 October the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision to partially resume exports: gas-producing enterprises may sell abroad up to 15% of the volume of gas transferred to the gas transmission system in the previous month, each month. The Ministry of Energy determines the list of sellers and the allowed volumes, and buyers at the specialised exchange auctions may only be non-resident companies.
