The company Opel reduced the starting price of the Astra hatchback by 1600 euro and introduced a new base trim, Start, making the hybrid version available from 31 890 euro.
Exterior differences and equipment
The most noticeable exterior change in the Start trim is the 16-inch steel wheels with spoked hubcaps and high-profile tyres, a style reminiscent of the 1990s. Otherwise the Astra Start retains LED lighting, the Opel Vizor front panel with ambient lighting, sculpted bumpers and a rear spoiler.

The base price includes the Denim Blue body colour. Changing the colour requires an extra charge, and the Sports Tourer estate gains additional roof rails in the estate pack.
Interior, assistance systems and packages
The Astra Start interior is equipped with a digital instrument cluster with two 10-inch displays, Intelli-Seats with six-position adjustment, automatic climate control, keyless engine start, LED interior lighting and an audio system with four speakers and support for Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus (DAB+). The standard equipment also includes the European Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite and front and rear parking sensors.

A rear-view camera is not included as standard, but this is partly offset by the optional Start Comfort Pack: insulating glazing, a rear-view mirror with automatic dimming and a central armrest.
Engines, prices and surcharges
The Astra range no longer offers a manual gearbox; buyers have three powertrain options. The starting price of the hybrid Astra Start hatchback is 31 890 euro, which is 1600 euro less than before.
Other options affect the final price: a different body colour costs 750 euro, the Comfort pack ranges from 500 to 650 euro, replacing the steel wheels with 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tyres is 800 euro. The Astra Sports Tourer estate is 1500 euro more expensive than the hatchback.
