Experts at the Institute for Car Market Research recorded that at the end of September 2026 there were 13% fewer listings for the sale of new passenger cars on Auto.ria, and the median declared price rose by 5.3% to $38,591.

As of 30 September the platform had 7,409 active listings compared with 8,514 at the end of August. The total declared value of the offer fell from $455.02 million to $395.25 million, or by 13.1%, which closely corresponds to the reduction in the number of listings.
Of the 8,514 listings that were active at the end of August, 5,223 remained in the offering by the end of September; 3,291 listings left, while 2,186 new listings appeared and remained active at the end of the month. ‘So the reduction in the total number of offers does not mean that the new-car market has “stalled”. On the contrary, there was considerable rotation within it; there were simply fewer new arrivals than positions leaving the online offering,’ the experts note.

Comparing the figures for listings that left and for new arrivals explains the increase in the median. The median declared price of listings that were active at the end of August but left by the end of September was $36,417, while for cars that appeared in September and remained active at month-end the median was $41,770 — about 14.7% higher. This pushed the overall median price up by 5.3%.
At the end of September the model with the most active listings among new passenger cars was the BYD Sea Lion 06 — 203 entries with a median price of $33,900. Following in quantity were the Skoda Kodiaq (172 listings), Hyundai Tucson (154), Renault Duster (146), Volkswagen Touareg (144) and Volkswagen Tiguan (141). Notably, of the 144 Volkswagen Touareg listings, 82 appeared during the month itself.
By engine type, petrol cars accounted for 33.8% of the active offering, diesel 26.7%, electric vehicles 14.6%, conventional hybrids 13.7%, mild hybrids 6.7%, plug-in hybrids 3.7%, and range-extended electric vehicles 0.8%. The median declared price was $31,249 for petrol cars, $48,501 for diesel, $47,014 for electric vehicles and $44,106 for conventional hybrids.
