Apple unveils HomeView — home hub with Siri AI for $299

Apple has unveiled HomeView — a device designed to serve as the control centre for a smart home and is already available for pre-order at $299.

HomeView design and display

HomeView features an aluminium body with a dome-shaped base and a 7-inch Liquid Retina display mounted on a stainless-steel hinge that can be tilted. The display supports True Tone and automatic brightness adjustment from 0.3 to 500 nits, and the interface adapts depending on the distance to the user, showing either simplified or detailed information.

The device is available in four colours — Silver, Starlight, Pink and Space Gray — and each variant ships with a cable in the matching colour. A wall-mounted version will also be offered in grey and silver with the same 7-inch display; it can be fixed to the wall using one of three mounts from Schneider Home.

Siri AI and personalisation for household members

At its core is Siri AI, which runs on the A18 chip; when connected to an iPhone or iPad with support for Apple Intelligence, the assistant’s capabilities expand. Users can adjust Siri’s speaking rate and expressiveness, and choose different display faces for presenting information.

The hub can remember up to six people using face recognition and provides personalised access to Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders and Find My. Personal content will remain private from others, but users can create shared photo albums and music playlists that visitors can view.

Audio and smart home control

The device is equipped with two full-range speakers with support for spatial audio, a downward-firing low-frequency driver and two passive radiators for bass reproduction. The A18 chip and built-in sensors automatically adjust volume and bass; the wall-mounted model has two speakers and uses computational audio processing tuned for wall placement.

Connected devices can be controlled via the touchscreen or voice commands, the Home Modular panel offers quick access to other connected devices, and Home Camera allows simultaneous viewing of video from nine cameras.

Price and availability

HomeView is compatible with devices in the Apple Home Collection — a line of cameras, thermostats and smart locks developed in partnership with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric — and supports accessories compatible with the Matter standard. Both HomeView models cost $299 and are already available for pre-order in Apple’s official store.

First shipments will begin on 13 November 2026. HomeView will not be available in the EU because Siri AI is not available in iOS in the region.
