Oschadbank

The bank was founded in 1991 on the basis of the Savings Bank of the USSR institutions in Ukraine. In 1999 the Open Joint-Stock Company 'State Savings Bank of Ukraine' was formed. The change of name to Public Joint-Stock Company 'State Savings Bank of Ukraine' was registered in 2011. In 2019 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution according to which the type of PJSC 'State Savings Bank of Ukraine' was changed from public to private and it was renamed into joint-stock company 'State Savings Bank of Ukraine' (JSC State Savings Bank of Ukraine) and the charter of JSC 'Oschadbank' was restated.

The bank's activities are characterised by significant volumes of operations with state-owned enterprises and government bodies. By asset size the bank is among the three largest in Ukraine.

According to the list published by the NBU in June 2026, Oschadbank is classified as a systemically important bank.

Founders, major shareholders, beneficiaries (owners) of the bank: the State of Ukraine (represented by the entity managing state property: the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine) - 100%.

Authorized capital of JSC «Oschadbank» as of 2026: 49 472 840 000,00 UAH.

The bank is a participant of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for individuals (certificate No.231 dated 20.08.2025).

Awards and prizes:
Oschadbank won the bronze at FinAwards 2025 in 3 categories: “Best investment offer in classical assets”; “Best marketing director (banks category) - Serhii Hrabchak, Marketing Director of Oschadbank”; “Best retail business director - Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank”.
