PrivatBank

PrivatBank was registered on 19 March 1992 and holds leading positions across all key financial indicators.

On 18 December 2016 the Cabinet of Ministers supported the NBU's proposal to transfer 100% of the bank's shares into state ownership due to the shareholders' failure to implement the recapitalisation programme. As of 21.12.16 PrivatBank's capital was negative, and the Deposit Guarantee Fund sold 100% of the bank's shares to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine for 1 UAH.

Since 25.09.2019 the owner changed — 100% of shares were transferred from the Ministry of Finance to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to the list published by the NBU in March 2024, the bank PrivatBank is classified as a systemically important bank.

Shareholders: Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (100%).

Authorized capital of JSC AB «PrivatBank» as of 2025: 206 059 743 960,00 UAH.

PrivatBank - winner at FinAwards 2026 in 3 nominations:
- "Best banking mobile app for business";

PrivatBank received Silver at FinAwards 2026 in the following nominations:
- "Best cash loan" and
- «Best Retail Business Leader» award was received by Dmytro Musiienko, Member of the Management Board of PrivatBank for Retail Business.

Additionally, PrivatBank received 2 bronze FinAwards 2026 in the categories:
- "Best technological project in the banking sector";
- "Best credit card".

PrivatBank won FinAwards 2025 in 3 nominations: 'Best cash loan', 'Best premium card', 'Leading technologies and innovations (banks category)'.

The bank received the FinAwards silver 2025 in 2 nominations: «Best bank for legal entities», «Best offline payment acceptance provider» (for the «Terminal» app). It also won the FinAwards bronze 2025 in the «Best mobile application» nomination.

In 2024 PrivatBank won FinAwards in 3 categories.
And PrivatBank also received 5 silver FinAwards 2024.

In addition, the «Terminal» app from PrivatBank became the bronze prize-winner of FinAwards 2024 in the nomination «Best technological solution for accepting payments offline».
