About bank

Prominvestbank was founded in 1992 and from its establishment was among the largest banks of Ukraine.
In 2017 Ukraine imposed sanctions against five banks owned by Russia. The sanctions affected Sberbank of Russia, Prominvestbank, the bankrupt VTB Bank and BM Bank, which surrendered its banking licence. The sanctions concerned restrictions on the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine in favour of related parties.
In March 2019 the fifth president signed a decree to extend sanctions against Sberbank and Prominvestbank, because only they from the sanctions list remained on the market. The sanctions were introduced for two years. In March 2021 the term of the sanctions was extended for another three years. And in 25.02.2022 the NBU decided to revoke the bank's licence and its liquidation procedure began.
The main shareholder of the bank since 2009 is the State Development Corporation 'VEB.RF', Russian Federation (State Development Corporation 'VEB.RF', Russian Federation).
PJSC «Prominvestbank» was a member of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
PJSC 'Prominvestbank' developed its business focusing on two key client segments: large corporate clients and retail customers.
