Merged with Taskombank since 16.10.2018. In 1991 the bank was established as Joint-Stock Commercial "Electronbank". In 2001 the bank was transformed into Open Joint-Stock Company "Electron Bank". In 2007 Volksbank International AG acquired a controlling stake in OJSC "Electron Bank" and later increased its share to 99,6%. In 2008 the bank changed its name to OPEN JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "VOLKSBANK". In 2009 the bank changed its name to PUBLIC JOINT-STOCK COMPANY "VOLKSBANK". On 16 December 2013 the bank changed its name to Public Joint-Stock Company "ViEs Bank". The need for this change was caused by the termination, from 15 February 2014, of the licence agreement for the Bank's use of the VOLKSBANK trademark for goods and services, the owner of which is the company Österreichischer Genossenschaftsverband (ÖeGV), Austria. By changing its name, the Bank does not change its market positioning and will continue to be a bank with the same organisational structure, number of branches and personnel. Following the results of the 1 half-year of 2013, the independent rating agency "Credit-Rating" confirmed the deposit and credit ratings of PJSC "VOLKSBANK". The Bank's deposit reliability rating was confirmed at "5" (the highest level). The Bank's long-term credit rating was confirmed at uaA+, outlook - stable. Active lending for the purchase of new cars and real estate favourably distinguishes PJSC "ViEs Bank" among competitors in the banking services market.
