In Ivano‑Frankivsk authorities have established the final number of victims in the real-estate fraud case: 256 investors lost more than 235 million UAH. This was reports the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Suspicions and international manhunt
On 13 October 2026 prosecutors of the Ivano‑Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office amended in absentia the previously notified suspicion against one of the suspects and issued a new suspicion. They are currently preparing documents to initiate an international search.

All three suspects are abroad. They were already placed on international wanted lists in 2023–2025; the prosecutor’s office is now preparing materials to publish Interpol Red Notices (Red Notice) with the aim of establishing their whereabouts, securing their detention and seeking extradition.
The property-sales scheme and charges
According to the investigation, between 2017 and 2022 a 46‑year‑old local businessman, who owned and founded 15 construction companies, together with a relative and an acquaintance solicited investors’ funds by selling apartments and non‑residential premises while still under construction, without the necessary permits, connection of engineering networks or commissioning of the buildings.
For each residential complex they set up a separate company and transferred the funds received from buyers to accounts of controlled enterprises, concealing the true financial situation. The suspects are accused of fraud on an especially large scale and of legalisation of criminal proceeds; the ringleader faces an additional charge of willful tax evasion.
At the same time, in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until their guilt is established by a guilty verdict of a court.
