The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced additional state assistance: specialists who restore critical infrastructure after Russian attacks will receive 30,000 UAH for each month of work during the autumn–winter period. This was reported by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi.

The top-ups are intended for energy workers, district heating specialists, gas workers, employees of water supply and wastewater enterprises, municipal services staff, and railway workers. Payments will be granted for each month of participation in restoration works.

“It is precisely thanks to these people that the power system, housing and communal services and the railways continue to operate and remain resilient. This is the least the state can do for these specialists now,” Koretskyi said.

Payment period and programme coordination

Payments start in November and will continue until the end of the heating season. The heating season is the period during which centralised heating supplies residential, communal and other networks.

Separately, the First Vice Prime Minister — Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal clarified that state assistance will be provided to workers involved in repair works at electricity, heating, gas, water supply and wastewater facilities, as well as at public railway transport facilities during the harshest weather conditions — from November to March. “At the initiative of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy promptly developed a draft decision to renew the top-up programme for repair crews, and the government supported that decision,” Shmyhal said.
