Autonomous power supply programme for apartment blocks expanded to four regions

The Cabinet of Ministers has expanded the state assistance programme for installing autonomous power supplies in multi‑storey apartment buildings, Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said.

Previously the programme operated in Kyiv, Kyiv region and Kharkiv region; it will now be rolled out to four more regions. Applications on behalf of co‑owners can be submitted by associations of co‑owners of apartment buildings (OSBB), apartment building managers, and housing construction and servicing cooperatives.

The programme provides for installing equipment to keep lighting, water supply, heating, communications and lifts working during outages. “In addition to extending the geography, the government has also improved the implementation mechanism of the programme,” Koretskyi stressed. All applications will be submitted online on the official programme website through an electronic cabinet on the Diia portal.

State assistance amounts to 100–300 thousand UAH depending on the number of storeys in the building and the number of entrances. The funds may be used for generators, inverters, batteries or solar panels, and applications are submitted online through the Diia app. Submitting an application imposes obligations: to use the funds for the intended purpose, to finance the equipment within 45 days and to install it in compliance with safety standards. After installation, a report must be submitted via Diia within 30 working days; if it is impossible to purchase the equipment, the funds must be returned within the prescribed deadlines.
