According to the Ministry of Energy, another shipment of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan — consisting of energy equipment worth over USD 1.47 million — has arrived in Ukraine.
The cargo contains nine power transformers, 186 kilometres of electrical cable and other critically important equipment for restoring the power system after Russian attacks.

“I sincerely thank the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan for the substantial assistance Azerbaijan has been systematically providing to Ukraine’s energy sector. This new consignment of energy equipment is a significant contribution by our partners to Ukraine’s energy resilience and to supporting people ahead of the fifth wartime winter,” emphasised First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, 159 humanitarian shipments from Azerbaijan carrying equipment with a total weight of more than 2,432.4 tonnes have arrived in Ukraine through the Ministry of Energy’s hubs.
These have included power transformers, transformer substations, generators, electrical cable and other critically needed equipment.

Earlier reports said Azerbaijan and Ukraine will for the first time launch digital permits for freight transport.
