Ukrainians have 153 million cards and only a third of them are active
Ukrainian banks issued about 153,2 million cards but only about 61,1 million were active. The difference is explained by state programmes and by people having several cards.

monobank included a commission of 0,5% in its tariffs for transfers of own funds to Mastercard cards of other banks. The bank says the decision is not final and the fee will not start on 18 October 2026.
