Meta One launches and what it changes for users
Meta has introduced the paid subscription Meta One, which combines advanced artificial intelligence (AI) features and other capabilities across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The subscription is aimed at ordinary users, not just content creators and public figures.
The service is already being rolled out worldwide but not simultaneously for everyone, so it is not yet clear when it will arrive in Ukraine. Free access to Meta AI within the apps will remain, but it will be subject to limitations for users.

Why this is possible
Meta One effectively consolidates features that were previously spread across separate paid plans—Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus. This consolidation allows the company to offer a single package with more options and simpler management for users.
The subscription includes more than 50 exclusive features, among them notifications when specific people view Stories and the ability to save posts for up to 48 hours. The company also plans to expand the subscription’s capabilities to, for example, smart glasses and other services, making the product a platform rather than merely a set of social media tools.
Why now
The launch is a logical step after several separate paid plans appeared across different apps, since unifying them enables standardisation of the offering and a clear separation between free access to Meta AI and the expanded paid tier. The company already has a ready set of features that can be assembled into a single product and offered to subscribers.
The global but phased rollout indicates Meta’s desire to test the service in different regions before making it available everywhere at once. This also explains why it is not yet known when Meta One will become accessible in Ukraine.

Who Meta One will affect and what pricing tiers exist
Meta emphasises that Meta One is designed for ordinary users, not only for creators or celebrities, and so it bundles tools for a broad audience. Users will gain access to exclusive options that may change how they interact with Stories, posts and algorithms in the apps.
The company offers several consumer subscription levels, though their prices were not disclosed. Separate plans are available for content creators and businesses: their cost starts at $14,99 per month for the Essential plan and reaches $499 per month for the Max tier for large teams. If you use Meta AI for free, bear in mind that access will remain but with certain limitations compared with what paid subscribers receive.
