At the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine, eulaw.academy was presented — a free educational programme in European Union law for Ukrainian students; the presentation took place with representatives of the embassy, the academy and partners, and the course began on 5 November.
Composition of the first cohort and the curriculum
The first cohort comprises 25 students: 12 from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 5 from Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman and 8 from Sumy State University. Graduates will receive a certificate from the University for Continuing Education Krems (Austria).

The programme will conclude with a trip to Brussels (Belgium) and The Hague (the Netherlands). Academic partners named include the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and IE University in Madrid.
Organisers, support and funding
The programme’s initiators are Michael Goldinger and Wil Gufnagels, both honorary presidents of EU Law Academy and alumni of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA). The programme is supported by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and private partners.

Uniqa Group made a “substantial contribution to its financing”, so the first academic year is free for students. The organisers plan to develop the programme, expanding its geography and content.
Appeal regarding the training of specialists
In a video address to students, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro‑Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Vsevolod Chentsov, said: “Ukraine needs people who can turn European integration from policy into practice” in the video address.
