Compensation under the «єВідновлення» programme can be obtained separately for each destroyed immovable property, specialists from «Юридичного порадника для ВПО (internally displaced persons, IDPs)» say. The right is not limited by the number of properties.
How to apply for compensation
To receive housing certificates, an owner must submit a separate information notice — an official notification of destroyed property — and a separate application for payment for each flat or house. After submission, the local commission inspects the destroyed dwelling, draws up a report and calculates the compensation amount separately for each object.

After the inspection the commission decides whether to grant compensation; that decision is approved by the local council or military administration, and the information is entered into the Register of damaged and destroyed property. The owner receives electronic housing certificates for each destroyed property.
How to use the housing certificates
The certificates obtained can be used separately to purchase multiple dwellings or several certificates can be combined to buy a single real estate object. Before purchase you must reserve the funds for the housing certificate; after reservation the money is available for 30 calendar days.

If the transaction is not concluded within those 30 days, the reservation is automatically cancelled and the funds will have to be reserved again. Before signing the sale and purchase agreement the owner must register the termination of ownership rights to the destroyed objects — it is recommended to do this immediately before the main transaction rather than in advance.
What housing area does the state compensate
When calculating compensation there are limits on the area of destroyed immovable property. For example, if the area of a destroyed house was 250 sq. m, the compensation will be calculated within 200 sq. m.
These limits are applied separately to each property: if a person lost two houses, the 200 sq. m limit will be applied to each of them independently of the area of the other.
