Statistics of balances on the accounts and deposits of the population and individual entrepreneurs (FOP) as of September 2026, was cited by financial analyst Andriy Shevchyshyn, indicate that the wealthiest depositors are increasing their savings much faster than others.
Highest growth among clients with over 600,000 UAH
Clients who have more than 600,000 UAH in accounts and deposits make up 0.7% of all depositors, but their balances increased by 39.4% compared with 2025. Since the start of 2026 their savings have grown by 13.2%.

The next-largest group — depositors with balances from 200,000 to 600,000 UAH — make up 1.4% and increased funds by 21.8% compared with 2025. Over the first nine months of 2026 their growth was 8.9%.
Savings of the vast majority of clients grew more slowly
For 97.9% of depositors who have less than 200,000 UAH in accounts and deposits, the amount of funds increased by approximately 13% compared with 2025. However, over the first nine months of 2026 the increase for this group was only 4.8%.

The statistics show a noticeable gap in accumulation rates: “The wealthiest depositors are growing their bank balances almost three times faster than clients with deposits and accounts up to 200,000 UAH,” noted Andriy Shevchyshyn. He added: “Money, of course, does not bring happiness, but it is very soothing.”
