Banks are reducing OVDP, while the population adds about 4 billion each month
In January 2026, the banks' OVDP portfolio fell by 9 billion UAH to 922,67 billion UAH. PrivatBank cut its positions by 23,07 billion UAH, while the population adds about 4 billion UAH each month.
Ukrainians have 153 million cards and only a third of them are active
Ukrainian banks issued about 153,2 million cards but only about 61,1 million were active. The difference is explained by state programmes and by people having several cards.
