The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) revoked Money Republic’s licence to trade cash currency

According to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the Committee for Supervision and Regulation of Non-Banking Financial Services Markets decided on 2 November 2026 to revoke the licence to trade cash foreign-currency valuables held by LLC "FC Money Republic".

Failure to provide video recordings during inspections

The regulator found that the company repeatedly failed to provide inspectors with copies of recordings from its video archive for specified time periods. This was one of three types of violations identified following the foreign-exchange supervision.

In one of the company’s branches there was no adequate technological video-control system for customer service. The system was required to record and retain footage for at least 14 days from the cashier’s workstation, customer areas and the premises’ entrances and exits, and to provide inspectors with access to the archive during on-site inspections.

Violations of cash desk procedures

Another established breach was that the cashier at one branch did not perform the acceptance or issuance of cash in national or foreign currency simultaneously with issuing settlement documents through the registrar of settlement operations, as required by the rules.

The decision was based on violations of the requirements of currency legislation and the regulator’s normative acts that govern the conduct of currency-exchange operations and supervision of financial institutions’ activities.

Company status and other information

The revocation of the licence to trade cash foreign-currency valuables does not mean the company has ceased operations: LLC "FC Money Republic" retains its status as a financial institution, since that licence is not the sole authorisation for providing financial services.

The company was registered in Kyiv on 24 January 2020; its authorised capital is 10 million UAH. According to information on the company’s website, the ultimate beneficial owners with 50% stakes are Bohdan Dovzhenko and Serhii Tymoshok.
