Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1087 extended the assistance programme for internally displaced persons (VPO) until 28 February 2027; November payments fall within that period. Funds are credited for each family member who meets the programme’s conditions.
The new six-month period began on 1 September 2026 and will run until 28 February 2027. If physical identification is required for certain pension payments, it must be completed by 31 December.
Who will have payments automatically renewed
Automatic renewal is provided for displaced persons who were receiving assistance as of 31 August 2026 and continue to be eligible. Such families do not need to submit a new application solely because the previous period ended.

There is a separate automatic renewal for children from VPO families who were granted assistance without taking their parents’ income into account. For these families, payments for the new period are also reinstated without an additional application.
What requirements are checked and what to do if a payment is not renewed
When reviewing an application, the Pension Fund checks whether the family meets the programme criteria. For most adults the key factor is income: in 2026 the average monthly income per family member must not exceed 10 380 hryvnia (average monthly income means the family’s total monthly income divided by the number of family members).

If a payment was not renewed or circumstances have changed, displaced persons are advised to contact the Pension Fund to find out the reason. The resolution also mentions an annual physical identification requirement for some recipients of pensions and insurance payments to be completed by 31 December, but for pensioners with VPO status who moved from temporarily occupied territory to government-controlled areas and notified the Pension Fund of their new address and transferred their payments, this identification is not required.
